Day 1 4/23 Part 2

This post is a continuation of the previous post that depicts the beginning of the aquaponics project. Two words : Red onions. The following shows you how a red onion seed is made.

First, we purchased a small red onion. We did not buy the larger ones for they are too large for the seed trays.

Like the white onions, the opposite of the root must be again cut.

Make sure you can see the whites of the onion. You now have a red onion seed!

Careful not to cry!

Also like the white onion seeds, simply place the onion seeds into the growth medium. Repeat the process until all seed tray slots are filled with red onion seeds.

I have also planted red chilli's, chilli padi's and red okras today but unfortunately, there are no pictures to depict the processes though I'm sure the method to plant these seeds are universally well known.
